Beauty & The Feast: Chic’s Place, Pier 39

I enjoyed a great lunch a few weeks ago at Chic’s Seafood Restaurant and Bar with my fellow BNI members Martina Morio and Sharon Schanzer.

The view from this floor-to-windows second story wood and glass eatery at Pier 39 is absolutely amazing, sweeping from the East Bay hills and Alcatraz Island to the Golden Gate Bridge and Pier 39′s fleet of cruise and fishing boats.

We started with their award-winning, rich and savory clam chowder, plus delectable crab cakes. We all had a delicious fresh salmon entree and I’m the only one who was able to finish the huge portions. Dessert was an exquisite creme brulee.

A San Francisco institution since 1979 renowned for its seafood, as well as steaks and pasta, I highly recommend Chic’s — for the outstanding view, the food, and the service. It offers breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. Chic’s Place is one of the reasons why Pier 39 is San Francisco’s #1 tourist attraction.
