Hi Everyone,

Our xxxxxxx@bniembarcadero.com (I’m not putting it in here as I want to avoid more spam, you know the email address!) is a closed group distribution list. That means that only the people on the list can submit an email to it. So if your “you@yourregularemail.com” sends an email to the group, it will come through just fine.

But if you send an email as “yourotherself@yourotherdomain.com” the system doesn’t recognize it and you’re as good as a spammer. Yes, a notification goes out to the administrator (that would be me), but the list now gets SO MUCH SPAM that I turned off notifications so I won’t see your email from “ireallylovehellokittystickers@yahoo.com” and it’ll sit there until I go through the long list (which is not very often).

So, what to do?

  1. Use your regular, registered email address to send an email to the group.
  2. Use your other email, but ask me in an email to allow that address.

Sound like a plan? Thanks for your cooperation!
